Indian citizenswho want to visit Singapore will need to apply for a Singapore Visa.

A few crucial things to note:

• Tourist visa issued by the embassy permits tourists for a maximum stay of 30 days and comes with a validity of up to 2 years
• A Singapore tourist visa should be applied within 30 days prior to arrival date
• No visa on arrival option in Singapore is applicablefor Indian citizens

Types of  Singapore Visa

Tourist Visa:

This is issued for individuals who are travelling to the country to take part in tourism-related activities.

Business Visa:

If the purpose of visit it is to attend business meetings, conferences, and other business activities, one will require a business visa.

Visitor Visa:

This type of visa is granted for people visiting their friends or family living in Singapore

Student Pass:

This is issued for students who are visiting the country to enroll in academic courses

People who can Apply for a Singapore Visa

Tourists:

 A Singapore tourist visa is required if you wish to travel to Singapore for your next holiday

Indian passport holders travelling to Singapore for tourism purposes can apply for a Singapore visa online

Businessmen:

Business Visa is for individuals attending business negotiations, discussions, conferences, seminars etc.

During the visit to Singapore, they may engage in business activities that do not constitute work or employment.

Visitors:

The Singapore visit visa lets you visit the country and meet your family friends or relatives living there

Right Time to Apply for a Singapore Visa

Tourist Stream 

People who wish to travel Singapore for Holiday, Recreation or Private visit must apply for a Singapore visa at least 30 days before traveling

E-Visaallows one for a maximum stay 30 days and is valid up to2 years

Business Stream:

Visa applicants who are willing to attend a business meeting or a conference in Singapore will have to be in touch with the local contact

A Singapore registered business entity should be involved in this process

A business invitation from Sponsor (FORM-V39 A) would also be required

One should apply for an entry visa within 30 days prior to arrival in Singapore

Visitor stream:

One will be eligible for a Visitor Visa on receiving an invitation from any immediate family membersor friends in Singapore

The High Commission of Singapore recommends that one should application about 1 month before your intended date of travel.

Documents Requirements:

TOURIST VISA

1. Valid Passport: (Passport valid at least 6 months from date of travel and along with Old Passport, if any)
2. Visa application form
3. 2 Photographs: (New Photographs i.e. not used earlier for any visa, 35 mm x 45 mm,80% face, white background, contrast color cloth and matt finish)
4.  Cover letter on letterhead, addressed to The Singapore High Commission,New Delhi (arrange the letter Jurisdiction wise).

In case of own business:

• Arrange the letter on Company letter head along with name and Designation

In case of employed:

•  Letter on company letterhead mentioned the designation

            OR

•  If the cover letter is on a plain paper, the NOC letter would be required     from his/her company mentioning the designation.

6. Occupation Proof:

In case of service:

• Provide the Original NOC /Leave letter from present working company

               OR

•  Original visiting card and Employee ID Card copy/ Salary slip of 03 months and Salary account statement

In case of Applicants running own business:

•  Request letter on Company letterhead with active mobile number and       company GST certificate

7. Applicant mobile number, Email ID and Annual Income mandatory
8. Accommodation details (Name,address, phone number, and email ID of hotel) are mandatory
9. Personal Bank statement for last 6 months

FOR AN INCENTIVE TOUR:

1. Valid Passport: (Passport valid at least 6 months from date of travel and along with Old Passport, if any)
2. Visa application form
3.  Two Photographs: (New Photographs i.e. not used earlier for any visa, 35 mm x 45 mm,80% face, white background, contrast color cloth and matt finish)
4.  Cover letter on letterhead should be addressed to the corporate organizing the tour

• Number of travelers of the group along with applicant passport details
• Travel dates and duration of stay should be clearly mentioned on covering letter

5. Authorization letter:An authorization letter would be required on the letter head of the corporate organizing the tour.(Signatory should be same).

8.  Air Ticket
9. Land agreement from Singapore Tour operator on the letterhead (Scanned copy accepted)

Note:

For the cases demanding address proof, one of the following documents will be accepted as a Residence proof.

• Latest Rent agreement deed (on stamp paper)

Or

• Latest land line Bill

FOR VISITING FRIENDS OR FAMILY

An Invitation letter from Invitee/Sponsor, mentioned with Name, address, relation,contact details of the sponsor along with his /her FIN card copy.

Business Visa Requirements for Singapore

• Valid Passport: (Passport valid at least 06 month from date of travel and along with Old Passport if any)
• Visa application form
• Two Photographs: (New Photographs i.e. not used earlier for any visa, 35 mm x 45 mm,80% face, white background, contrast color cloth and matt finish).
• Cover letter addressed to The Visa Officer, Singapore High Commission, from the employer on letterhead
• If passenger is self-employed, then cover letter should be there on company letterhead
• If passenger is a Government employee, then NOC letter would be required from the organization
• Travel Itinerary (Tkt)
• Invitation Letter from Singapore
• Form V39 A from sponsor
• Applicant mobile number, email ID and Annual Income mandatory
• Accommodation details
• Financial documents: Personal bank statement for last 6 months

Note: 

For Applicants who are taking a cruise ship from Singapore to some other country and coming back to Singapore need to check their particular cruise that whether they can enter Singapore again or not.

The VTP is valid for Singapore Entry Only

Photo Specifications:

The following photo specifications are to be met as per the Embassy:

• 35 mm x 45 mm, 80 % face focus
• Recent Photo – Taken within the last 03 months
• Matt or Semi matt finish
• Background: Solid white(No colors or patterns)
• Smile: Neutral Expression only. No smiling.
• Eyes: Visible and open
• Headgear: Religious purpose only
• Scanned photographs are not acceptable, if photograph found to be scanned, visa will be rejected

Glasses Specifications:

The following glass specifications are to be met as per the Embassy:

• Glasses should be worn if you wear them on a daily basis
• If glasses are thick-rimmed, create a glare, or have tinted lenses, or they must be removed for the photo.
• Eyes need to be clearly visible for recognition purpose

Singapore Study Visa Documents Required:

Following documents will be required for application purposes:

• A valid passport whose validity should be at least 6 months beyond the period of stay in Singapore
• Completed Student Visa Application Forms – ICA form 16 & Form V36 

• Application Fee Payment Receipt
• Offer letter from a Singapore Institute/University
• Two Photographs: (New Photographs i.e. not used earlier for any visa, 35 mm x 45 mm,80% face, white background, contrast color cloth and matt finish).
• Bank Statements
• Fixed Deposit Receipts (if necessary)
• Bank loan sanction letter (if necessary)
• Transcripts, diplomas, degrees, or certificates from schools you attended
• Test scores that your college required, such as the TOEFL, GRE or GMAT

Note: Additional documentation may be required. During the personal interview, additional documents may be requested by the interviewer. These may be documents to prove evidence of academic or financial status.
