Essential Documents Required for All to Apply for an Australian Visa

• Last 3 years Income Tax return (Personal)

For a Tourist:

• Passport should be valid at least 6 months from the date of travel

For a Salaried Individual:

• Salary slips for previous 6 months
• NOC letter from company
• Employee ID card copy

For a Retired Person:

• Proof of retirement document or Pension Proof

For a Student:

• NOC letter from school/college
• School/College ID card copy
• Fees book copy

For a Doctor:

• Medical Registration copy
• Doctor registration copy
• Clinic registration copy

For a Honeymoon Couple:

• Wedding or Engagement photograph
• Wedding card of both husband and wife
• Marriage Certificate copy
• NOC both parents

For a Sponsor:

• Invitation Letter address to the Australia High Commission, New Delhi
• Invitee ID card copy (Passport and Visa copy).
• Invitee Address proof
• Invitee Financial documents (Bank statement for the last 6 months)

For a Group:

• Guarantee Letter/Group letter from Company along with all applicant’s details.
• Hotel confirmation from supplier /Voucher (all applicants name and passport no. must be me mentioned)
• Airlines Reservation or Group booking
• Financial documents of company

Temporary Work (Short Stay Specialist) Visa (Sub Class- 400)

To apply for a temporary work visa, one must:

• Possess highly specialised skills, knowledge or experience to help Australian business flourish
• Only do the work or activities for which your visa was granted 

Short Stay Temporary Work – Highly Specialised stream (Subclass 400) Visa

• A short stay Temporary visa – Highly Specialised stream (subclass 400) is for people who want to travel to Australia to do short-term, highly specialised, non-ongoing work or activity at the invitation of an Australian organization.
• A stay period of up to three months is allowed.

You can apply for a Temporary Work (Short Stay Activity) visa (subclass 400) in the Highly Specialized stream if you are:

• A public lecturer
• A specialist giving master classes
• A specialist/contractor invited for a short-term activity or work
• A ‘nanny’ employed by an overseas family and accompanying underage children

For this, the documents required will be:

• A copy of your resume
• Any license or qualification you have
• A letter from your overseas employer explaining your current position and duties

To apply for the subclass 400 visa in Highly Specialised stream, you must be able to show that:

• You have personal attributes or an employment background relevant to the work or activity
• You have the support of the organisation which invited you to Australia
• You will not study a course in Australia that leads to a formal qualification

Health Requirements

• If one is aged 75 or above, he/she must provide evidence of having a medical insurance for the full period of his/her intended stay in Australia
• All visitors are strongly recommended to obtain comprehensive health insurance prior to travel
• One must undergo a medical examination with an approved panel doctor
