Welcome To Switzerland

Switzerland is a landlocked mountainous country in south central Europe, bordered by Austria, France, Germany and Italy. Switzerland’s cities have emerged as international centres of industry and commerce connected to the larger world, a very different tenor from Switzerland’s isolated, more inward-looking past. Bern is the capital city where tourists flock in good numbers throughout the year. Basel and Lucerne are the major German-speaking cities while Geneva and Lausanne are the centers of the country’s French-speaking cantons.

LANGUAGE: German, French, Italian, Romansh

Do you have any question?

Do Indian nationals need a Schengen Visa to travel to Switzerland?
Yes. Although Switzerland is not in the European Union (EU), it is in the Schengen Area of countries that have abolished border controls between each other’s borders - meaning you will need a visa to Switzerland if you apply from India.
Do I need an appointment?
Applicants need an appointment to submit Visa application
Can my application be processed on the same day which I will submit at the Visa Application Centre/Embassy of Switzerland in India?
Application processing time 15 working days. Please note that the visa cannot be issued on the same day.
Where can I acquire information on how to apply for visa?
An applicant can get all the required information by logging into our website:
Visa For Switzerland
When can I reapply; is there a waiting period after a refusal before I can re-apply?
You are free to re-apply at any time if your application has been refused. There is no time restriction. It is recommended that you note the reasons for the earlier refusal before submitting a new application and make amendments wherever applicable.
What will happen if I overstay my Switzerland Visa?
You will likely face a fine or deportation and a ban entering the Schengen Area - not just Switzerland - for a set period of time.
If I travel through / travel to more than one Schengen country, do I require a multiple entry visa?
No. You will require a multiple entry visa only if you leave and return to the Schengen Area on the same trip.
What information should I check in the passport after receiving it back?
Each applicant should immediately verify the data represented in the issued visa: the first and last name, Passport no., the photo, the period of validity, the number of entries and days.
