Types of Visa

 

TOURIST VISA:

A German Tourist Visa is a short-stay Schengen Visa for Germany. It permits its holder to travel to Germany for tourism purposes, as sightseeing and experiencing the country. It can be granted with a maximum validity of 90 days.

 

 BUSINESS VISA:

A business visa is required if during any portion of your visit you intend to conduct business or commercial activities, e.g. meetings, conferences, training.

 

 Visitor Visa (Visit to Family friends)

People traveling to the Germany to visit family/friends may apply for this visa.

 

Trade Fair :

Trade Fair visa application is applicable in case you are travelling for attending trade fair or participating in the trade fair.

This visa is given for travel period of less than 90 days.

If one wishes to take part at a trade fair or exhibition in Germany, either as a participant or a visitor, he/she needs a visa for Germany.

Tourist stream:

People who wish to travel Netherland for Holiday, Recreation or Private purpose can apply six months in advance of a trip is now possible.

 

Business Stream:

A business visa applicant needs an Invitation letter from Germany before application

 Visitor Visa Stream:

People who wish to travel Germany to visit family/friends may apply six months in advance of a trip

 

Trade fair

Employees of exhibiting companies must show proof of their participation in the trade fair to the organizers

Visitors to the fair must show their admission ticket to the fair organizers and provide proof of an appointment for a business meeting with at least one exhibitor at the venue

5. A sign cover letter from the applicant with the name and passport number of the traveler, explaining the purpose, duration & itinerary of the visit in brief

6.Hotel Bookings

7.Leave Sanction letter from the company (For Employee) – No Objection certificate from School / University (for Student)

8.Pay slips – Last 3 months of the applicant

9. 3-year ITR Returns / Form 16. of the applicant

10.Bank statements for last 3 months of the applicant

11. Certificate of Incorporation of the company.

12.Passport copy of the applicant (Biometric & Address page).

13. Confirmed return air ticket.

14.Overseas travel medical insurance valid for all the Schengen countries. (Covering entire Schengen trip).

8. Accommodation proof – Hotel Bookings (if have) / City Registration copy

Who can apply for a German Visa( Schengen) visa in India?
Indian nationalsas well as those of other countries legally residing in India can apply. People who do not reside in India may only apply if they are legally in India and can present a justification for lodging an application in India rather than in their country of residence.
What are the requirements for a valid passport for a Schengen Visa?
Your passport should be valid for a minimum of 3 months after the end of your schengen travel. Your passport should have 2 free pages for the visa sticker and the entry/exit stamp. The passport should contain your original signature and should not be damaged. If your passport expires within the next 6 months,the visa application should be made with a new passport.Often,issuing a longer term multiple entry visa is not possible due to the limited validity of the passport.
I would like to invite my family members/friends to visit me in Germany. What kind of Invitation letter do I need to send them?
The Invitation letter should contain your address and contact details, the personal details of the Invitee, the purpose of the trip, details about the planned stay and who would bear the cost of the trip. The original Invitation letter (Called Formal Obligation) need to be sent to your friends/Family along with original signature of the Invitee.
I have a valid Schengen visa issued by the German embassy. Can I use it to travel to other countries in Europe? Do I have to enter and Leave Germany or is this also possible elsewhere?
Holders of a Schengen visa may stay in the Schengen area for up to 90 days per period of 180 days. They can therefore travel to other counties in the Schengen area in addition to Germany. The place of entry and exit is not important.You can therefore enter and leave the schnegen area at any airport or border crossing point. It is important that the visa was issued by the Embassy/Consulate of the country in which your main destination located and that you are staying there most part.

In case of Refusal, the fees are non -refundable.
What is the fees for Schengen (Germany Visa?
The fee for a Schengen Visa Application is 80 Euros. Children below the age of 6 are free, whereas the application fee for children between 6 and 12 is 40 Euros. Additionally, a Service fee for VFS Global applies and has to be paid in rupees. The application and service fees are non-refundable in case of a refusal.
