Tourist Visa :

A Canada tourist visa is required if you wish to travel to France for your next holiday or Sightseeing. Indian passport holders travelling to France for tourism purposes can apply for a France visa.

Business Visa :

Business Visa for individuals attending business negotiations, discussions, conferences, seminars, etc. During the visit, they may engage in business activities that do not constitute work or employment.

Family Visit :

You can apply for this France short-stay Visitor Visa even if your family member residing in France is not a French or EU national. In this case, spouses and children under 18 can apply for a visa that allows them to enter France and remain there for up to 90 days.

 

When can apply :

Tourist stream :

People who wish to travel France for Holliday, Recreation or private visit purpose they can apply France tourist Visa. it is recommended that you apply at least 3 months prior to your travel date and it cannot be submitted more than 6 months prior to your planned visit.

Business Stream :

FRANCE TOURIST VISA REQUIREMENTS

  1. Original passport- The passport should be valid for a minimum of 3 months after the trip and should have a minimum of 2 blank pages.
  2. Photocopies of the Passport.
  3. Photocopies of visas for USA,UK or Schengen nations (if available).
  4. Dully filled online application forms
  5. Two recent Photographs (35 mm x 45 mm, 70 % face, white background contrast color cloth).
  6. Dully signed cover letter on letterhead. For self employed /Business man traveling on tourist visa, a covering letter preferably on company’s letterhead.
  7. Photocopy of hotel booking/Sponsorship Certificate. ( Attestation D’accueil, original)

if visit relatives required Invitation letter, Invitee ID Card copy and Invitee financial documents.

  2. Photocopy of insurance policy (international insurance,Equvalent to 30,000 Euros). The original will be required for verification

If Employed : Salary slip last 03 months and NOC letter from Organization.

If Business : Company Registration Certificate and GST certificate along with financial documents.

if Self Employed : A copy of Business License,Comapny Bank statement last 06 months, Income Tax Return.

  1. Return tickets. (If you are traveling France to other schengen states required Sector ticket along with accommodation proof).
  2. Personal IT returns last 03 years along with last 06 month original bank statement – if Employed.
  3. Personal IT returns along with Company IT returns (03 years) and Personal and company bank statement last 06 months(Original) – if Business.
  4. If student required student ID Card copy along with NOC letter.
  5. For students under 18, applicants are requested by the French authorities to provide with either a photocopy of certificate from their school or university or any other documents as a proof of their enrollment as a student or apprentice.

The photocopy of certificate from school or university or any other proof of professional or educative occupation is also requested whenever a young person over 18 is depending on his parents for his /her living expenses.

  1. Birth Certificate – for children under the age of 18 years.

FRANCE BUSINESS VISA REQUIREMENTS

  1. The Applicant should have a original passport valid for at least 06 months from date of application for the visa. One photocopy of the first and last page of the passport and photocopies of valid visa are required. Passport valid for more than 10 yrs will not be accepted as the main required travel document. it is mandatory to have two blank pages each other.

The photocopy of passport photo page and address page of the applicant.

  1. Photocopies of valid US,Uk and previous schengen visas if any.
  2. Two recent photographs (35 mm x 45 mm) with white background ,70 to 80 % face coverage, photographs taken with a digital camera must be high quality color printed on photo quality paper.
  3. Filled up online application form. (All applicants should mention their mobile no. and E-Mail id on visa application form.
  4. Covering letter on Company letter head, mentioning name and designation of the applicant and that of the signatory of managerial or executive level giving brief sketch of applicants Itinerary, name, Address and email of the company to be visited .
  5. A copy of Invitation letter from French company  and Invitee ID card copy.
  6. Accommodation proof of entire schengen state.
  7. Copy of last 03 years IT returns and last 06 months bank statement with bank seal and signature. (Personal and company).
  8. Last 03 month Salary slip and NOC letter from Organization.
  9. Overseas medical Insurance (Equivalent 30,000 euro). Please carry the original Insurance at the time of submission for verification.
  10. Confirmed onward/return air tkt.
  11. Company registration certificate.
  12. Visa application fees.

No, ideally you should submit the documents in person. In case your Biometrics are done, you can use the services of an authorized travel representative to send the documents.
What should the cover letter include ?
The cover letter should ideally include the reason for travel and any additional information which could speed up the application process.
How long can I stay in Franc on a short stay visa ?
A short stay visa entitles you to stay in France for a maximum of 3 months.
I am an Indian residing abroad. Do I have to come to India to apply for a Visa ?
No, You can apply for a Visa in the country you currently stay in. It is not mandatory for you can come to India to finish the formalities.
I forgot to renew my visa and am currently still in France. Can I extend it from France ?
No, You cannot renew the visa in France. You will have to return to India to renew it.
How long does it take to get a Visa ?
Visa processing times vary depending on the nationality of the applicant, the purpose of the stay and the local visa issuing conditions. To apply for a short-stay visa, the application must be submitted at least 3 to 4 weeks prior to your planned visit; however, it cannot be submitted more than 6 months prior to your planned visit. It is the responsibility of the applicant to take the necessary precautions in terms of respecting deadlines when an appointment system is in place. Certain types of visa require special checks (e.g. civil status, etc.) or consulting different French authorities, which may extend the processing time.
Can I found why my visa was refused ?
As per French & European laws, negative decisions on visa applications must be notified. An applicant whose visa has been refused may lodge an appeal against the decision to refuse a visa to the Commission de Recours contre les Décisions de Refus de Visa, BP 83609 44036 Nantes CEDEX 1, within two months of being officially informed. This appeal must be motivated, signed and written in French. It must precede any further appeal to a Court. If no decision has been communicated to the applicant within 2 months of submission of the file, the case shall be deemed to have been dismissed and can be appealed before the Commission de Recours Contre les Décisions de Refus de Visa.
How long is a short-stay visa valid for? Can I leave the Schengen area and return on the same visa ?
The visa stamp indicates the validity of the visa and the authorized length of stay. A visa may be issued for a single entry or multiple entries. The maximum length of a stay is that which is indicated on the visa and will vary depending on the purpose of your stay. If you have been authorised to stay for 90 days, you must not remain in the Schengen area for over 90 days in any 180-day period; this period must not exceed the duration of the visa or the 90-day period, which commences on the date of the first entry into the Schengen area.
Why is France visa rejected most ?
One of the reasons the embassy or consulate of the Schengen country might refuse to give you a visa are; Failing to present financial statements, lacking proof of funds for the duration of your stay in Schengen Area and for the return to your home country.
