Welcome To Denmark

In Northern Europe you find a small kingdom, well known for its strong welfare state, mixed market capitalist economy and for being one of the most egalitarian societies in the world. Also Denmark was named the happiest country in the world many years in a row by several international reports. Denmark is the smallest of the Scandinavian countries. From the capital city of Copenhagen where historical royal castles can be found buried among the surrounding forestland to the beautiful streets of Odense, birthplace of Hans Christian Andersen, Denmark truly is a land of fantasy. Denmark remains very much a maritime nation. With an exceptionally long coastline and hundreds of Danish islands waiting to be explored, Denmark is a heaven for beach-lovers. The south coast dramatically meets the Baltic Sea with high cliffs and the whole country is criss-crossed by walking and cycling trails. Capital of the Kingdom of Denmark, Copenhagen has the heartbeat of a big city but at the same time everything is within easy reach. In Copenhagen you can go exploring in a world of fashion, design, culture and gastronomy. But at the same time the surroundings offer plenty of outdoor activities.

CAPITAL :  COPENHAGEN

CURRENCY : DANISH KRONE

OVER VIEW:

Denmark’s many charms have become apparent to a global audience, particularly in recent years. Scandinavia’s “European” wing boasts glorious beaches, beautiful fairy-tale castles, lush forests, a temperate climate and  friendly citizens. Denmark’s eco-credentials are obvious throughout the land. In Copenhagen, the bicycle takes precedence over the car and is arguably the best way to explore this compact, picturesque city. On top of all this, the food is legendary – Danish fine dining paves the way for the best of Scandinavian cuisine. Denmark is big on culture, cooking and coastline. Attractions such as Tivoli, the Little Mermaid, and Legoland have fascinated visitors for years. Today, Danish design, architecture, and the New Nordic Cuisine put Denmark on the world map.
