Overview
A Bangladesh visa is required for all Indians who want to visit Bangladesh. Indians can easily apply for a Bangladesh Tourist visa or for Business purpose.
The Bangladesh Embassy will confirm or determine the type,category of visa and duration of your stay in Bangladesh. One can avail the Bangladesh Tourist Visa, which can be a single-entry or multiple-entry visa. With one, one will acquire the right to enterand stay in Bangladesh for up to 60 days.
A few important things to note:
- Bangladesh visas usually have a maximum stay of 30 days and come in single entry
- Business visa may be issued for maximum 1(one)year with single, double and multiple entries
- Processing time for a Bangladesh visa is usually 5 to 7 working days.
- Nationals of India and Bangladesh traveling to each other’s country may be allowed to travel by Air/land (Road and rail)/sea whichever is convenient to the applicant
Types of Visa
Tourist Visa /Visitor Visa:
A tourism and visitor visa isrequired when you are visiting a family member or a friend in the country. The validity of both the visas is generally the same.
Business Visa:
A business person who wants to travel to Bangladesh for carrying out business related transactions or making business deals would need a business visa.
Employment Visa:
Also called a work visa, it is issued for the ones who already have a job in Bangladesh and require a permit to stay in the country for the same.
People Applying for a Visa to Bangladesh
Tourists:
People who wish to travel Bangladesh for Holiday and Recreation purpose or other non-business activities
Businessmen:
Business person who are willing to carry out business in Bangladesh has to apply for a business visa.It can be attending a business conference, meeting with employees or clients, expand business, etc.
Working individuals:
People who wish to stay for a longer period of time from 3 to 6 months should receive the Recommendation letter of appointing authority, work permit and security clearance.
Right Time to Apply for a Bangladesh Visa
Tourist Visa:
People who wish to travel Bangladesh for holiday and recreation purpose can apply tourist Visa
One has to apply at least 30 days before the schedule of departure
Business Visa:
Businessperson who wants to visit Bangladesh for the purpose of trade, commerce and investmentshould receive an Invitation letter from a recognized business organization or a local sponsor from Bangladesh
There is no facility of visa-on-arrival for Indians. One has to apply 30 days before the schedule of departure.
Work Visa:
To apply for a work visa, experts/consultant/employee/individual employed in government/semi-government/Autonomous project or Farm of contractor of home and abroad has to receive an appointment letter and BIDA/BEPZA/Recommendation letter from the ministry.

- Filled-in online application Form
- Photographs with white background (Size 45x35mm and recent one); 02 copies
- Valid Passport, minimum 02 blank pages
- Payment receipt of Visa fee
- Old Passport required if any
- Copy of Aadhar Card
- Double Vaccination Certificate approved by W.H.O
